The Disastrous Septet Concludes with Wrath and Sloth

So what’s left?  We’ve visited the villages of Greed Hollow and Gluttony Gorge, had a picnic on Envy Green, toured the Palace of Pride, and looked around the Land O’ Lust. Our tour continues with a quick stop on the Isle of Wrath, followed by a very slow trek through the Slough of Sloth. Happy Trails!!!

Wrath

You did what? You dared

To cross me, you

Have provoked my

Foaming gall. I will not

Forgive you.

Ever.

You are on my deepest

List of those

Who have aroused

My ire, my

Red and boiling

Rage.

I will now devote my

Life, my essence, my

Being to making right

The wrong that you have dared

To do

To me.

My life is now a-fire with

Revenge, my righteous food

That gives my life

Its true and only meaning,

Dictates my every breath

And thought.

My drink is bile, my food

Is ash.

My sulfur breath

Is paradise.

 Sloth

I will, I will, I’ll get to it.

I promise, it’s just

I can’t, right now, even move.

Just give me a minute

Or two,

Or tomorrow, that will be good,

Tomorrow’s best.

Can you reach me that glass? I mean,

I just can’t move.

Oh, thank you so much. Here,

Could you put it back for me?

So kind. I just can’t seem

To get started today.

Like I said, Tomorrow. I’ll be

In better shape, ready,

And I’ll get it done.

First thing, or second.

Takes me a while to get going

In the morning, know what I mean?

Greeting the day can take a while.

Getting my shoes ready

And then the bed, sometimes

Making the bed can be so much

Of a chore

That it’s sometimes

Easier

Just

To

Stay

In

Bed.

Know what I mean?
